Arturo Fuente
Arturo Fuente began in West Tampa in 1912, when Cuban-born Arturo Fuente founded A. Fuente & Company. Across four generations, the family rebuilt after factory fires, embargo-era tobacco disruption, and production setbacks in Nicaragua and Honduras before establishing Fuente LTD in Santiago, Dominican Republic, in 1980. The family's emphasis on patient aging, hand craftsmanship, and direct oversight later produced milestones such as Hemingway and the first successful all-Dominican Fuente Fuente OpusX. Today the company remains family owned and operated, with quality, time, people, and community giving at the center of the Fuente story.
